English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us and said: 'Come with me.' We went until we came to the house of a man from the Ansar. He looked and did not find the man. When the woman of the house saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), she said: Welcome! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Where is your husband?' She said: He has gone to bring us sweet water. The Ansari came carrying his leather water container and said: Welcome! He then went and cut a cluster of dates for them, containing ripe dates, dried dates, and fresh dates. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate, drank water, and then said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, this is among the blessings about which you will be asked on the Day of Resurrection: a cool shade, good dates, and cold water.'
