English Translation
Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us: Muhammad ibn Bakr reported to us: Abu Dawud narrated to us: Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us: Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Aqil ibn Ma'qil narrated to us; he said: I heard Wahb ibn Munabbih narrate from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about al-nushrah (a spell used to undo sorcery), and he said: "It is from the work of Satan." The Shaykh said: It has also been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as mursal (with a missing link), and despite being mursal it is more correct. The ruling on what is disliked of nushrah and what is not disliked is like the ruling on ruqyah (incantation), which we have already mentioned.
