Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, Ahmad ibn Ubayd informed us, Ahmad ibn Yahya al-Hulwani narrated to us, Ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, Isma'il ibn Zakariyya narrated to us from Husayn. And Abu Sa'id al-Sayrafi and Abu Abdullah al-Susi informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas al-Asamm narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, Talq ibn Ghannam narrated to us, Malik ibn Mighwal narrated to me from Husayn, from al-Sha'bi, from Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "There is no ruqyah except for the evil eye or venomous stings." The Shaykh said: This means - and Allah knows best - that these two are most deserving of ruqyah, due to the greater harm in them. Al-Humah is the venom of poisonous creatures.
