أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْمَيْمُونِيُّ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ثنا أَيْمَنُ بْنُ نَابِلٍ حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي لَيْثٍ عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَقْرَبٍ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ ؓ تَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ عَلَيْكِ بِالتَّلْبِينِ الْبَغِيضِ النَّافِعِ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهُ يَغْسِلُ بَطْنَ أَحَدِكُمْ كَمَا يَغْسِلُ أَحَدُكُمْ وَجْهَهُ بِالْمَاءِ مِنَ الْوَسَخِ وَقَالَتْ كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ شَيْئًا لَا تَزَالُ الْبُرْمَةُ عَلَى النَّارِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ عَلَى أَحَدِ طَرَفَيْهِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sa'id ibn Abi Amr informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Abd al-Malik ibn Abd al-Hamid al-Maymuni narrated to us, Rawh ibn Ubadah narrated to us, Ayman ibn Nabil narrated to us, Fatimah bint Abi Layth narrated to me from Umm Kulthum bint Amr ibn Abi Aqrab who said: I heard Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "You should take the detested but beneficial talbinah. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, it cleanses the stomach of one of you just as one of you washes dirt from his face with water." And she said: "Whenever any member of his household complained of something, the cooking pot would remain on the fire until one of two things happened [either recovery or death]."
