English Translation
Abu Nasr ibn Qatadah informed us > Abu al-Fadl ibn Khamirawayh al-Harawi > Ahmad ibn Najdah > Ahmad ibn Yunus > Zuhayr > Qabus ibn Abi Zabyan > his father, who said: We said to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): 'What is al-Qani' and al-Mu'tarr?' He said: 'As for al-Qani', he is the one who is content with what you send to him in his house, and al-Mu'tarr is the one who comes to you.'
