أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَحْرٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ كُلُّ مَا أَفْرَى الْأَوْدَاجَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ قَرْضَ نَابٍ أَوْ حَزَّ ظُفُرٍ قَالَ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ لَيْسَ فِي كِتَابِي عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ الشَّيْخُ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَفِي هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ضَعْفٌ
English Translation
Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq and Abu Bakr Ahmad ibn al-Hasan the judge informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Hakam informed us, Ibn Wahb informed us, Yahya ibn Ayyub informed me from Ubayd Allah ibn Zahr from al-Qasim, the freedman of Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Umamah al-Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything that severs the jugular veins, as long as it is not the biting of a fang or the scraping of a claw." Abu al-Abbas said: The narration from Ali ibn Yazid is not in my copy. The Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: There is weakness in this chain of narration.
