وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ أنبأ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَمَنْ قَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَقَدْ عَصَمَ مِنِّي مَالَهُ وَنَفْسَهُ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهِ وَحِسَابُهُ عَلَى اللهِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us > Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub > Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Hakam > Ibn Wahb > Yunus ibn Yazid > Ibn Shihab > Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) informed him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say 'There is no god but Allah.' Whoever says 'There is no god but Allah' has protected his wealth and his life from me, except by its right, and his reckoning is with Allah."
