أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْجِهَادَ فَلَمْ يُفَضِّلْ عَلَيْهِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ هَذَا يَدُلُّ عَلَى أَنَّهُ فَرْضٌ عَلَى الْكِفَايَةِ حَيْثُ فَضَّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ بِعَيْنِهَا وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The souls of the martyrs are in the bellies of green birds that have lanterns suspended beneath the Throne. They roam freely in Paradise wherever they wish, then return to those lanterns."
