English Translation
Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us with his chain from Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman from Salm ibn Abi al-Dhayyal who said: Some of our companions narrated to me from Sa'id ibn Jubayr from Ibn Abbas who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'There is no illicit union in Islam. Whoever had such a union in the pre-Islamic period has been joined to his agnates. Whoever claims a child from other than a legitimate union neither inherits nor is inherited from.'
