حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الْقُرْدُوسِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَخْطُبُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا يَسْتَامُ عَلَى سَوْمِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلَا تَسْأَلُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ صَحْفَتَهَا وَلِتُنْكَحَ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهَا.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Hisham al-Qurdusi told us, from Muhammad, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Let none of you propose marriage over the proposal of his brother, nor bid over the bid of his brother. A woman is not to be married in addition to her paternal aunt, nor in addition to her maternal aunt. And a woman must not ask for her sister's divorce in order to empty her plate for herself and be married, for she will have only what Allah has decreed for her."
