English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, he said: 'Abbad ibn Mansur and Isma'il narrated to us — Isma'il said: 'Abbad informed us — the meaning being the same — from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah — and Isma'il said: from Abu Hurayrah — say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Allah, Mighty and Majestic, accepts charitable gifts and takes them with His right hand, then nurtures them for one of you just as one of you nurtures his foal, his young colt, or his young camel, until the [smallest] morsel becomes like [the mountain of] Uhud.' Waki' said in his narration: And the confirmation of that is in the Book of Allah: 'And it is He who accepts repentance from His servants and takes the charitable gifts,' and 'Allah destroys usury and causes charitable gifts to grow.'
