حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَوْشَبُ بْنُ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَهْدِيٌّ الْعَبْدِيُّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ صَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ صَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ.
English Translation
Waki' told us, he said: Hawshab ibn Aqil told us, he said: Mahdi al-Abdi told me, from Ikrimah, who said: I went in to Abu Hurayrah in his house and asked him about fasting the Day of Arafah while present at Arafat, and Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade fasting the Day of Arafah while at Arafat.
