حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ مَوْلَى اللَّيْثِيِّينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا سَبَقَ إِلَّا فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ حَافِرٍ.
English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah and Ibn Numayr narrated to us, they said: Muhammad ibn Amr narrated to us, from Abu al-Hakam, the freed slave of the Laythiyyun, from Abu Hurayrah who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no prize (in a competition) except in camel racing, horse racing, or archery."
