English Translation
The companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) discussed truffles and said: "They are the smallpox of the earth, and we do not think eating them is proper." This reached the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he said: "Truffles are from the manna, and their water is a cure for the eye. Ajwah dates are from Paradise, and they are a cure for poison."
