حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ بَابٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيِّ قَالَ كُنَّا نَعُدُّ الِاجْتِمَاعَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْمَيِّتِ وَصَنِيعَةَ الطَّعَامِ بَعْدَ دَفْنِهِ مِنْ النِّيَاحَةِ.
English Translation
Nasr ibn Bab narrated from Isma'il from Qays from Jarir ibn Abdullah al-Bajali who said: "We used to consider gathering at the house of the deceased and preparing food after the burial as a form of wailing."
