English Translation
Abu Abd al-Rahman Abdullah ibn Yazid told us, Sa'id - meaning Ibn Abi Ayyub - told us, Abu Sakhr told me, from Nafi', who said: Ibn Umar had a friend among the people of Syria with whom he corresponded. He once wrote to him: "Abdullah ibn Umar (says): it has reached me that you have spoken about something concerning divine decree; beware of writing to me again, for I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'There will be, among my nation, people who deny the divine decree.'"
