English Translation
Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, Abu Tu'mah told us - Ibn Lahi'ah said: I do not know what his name was - he said: I heard Abd Allah ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to al-Mirbad, and I went out with him. I was on his right; then Abu Bakr came forward, so I stepped back for him and he was on his right and I was on his left. Then Umar came forward, so I moved aside for him, and he was on his left. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to al-Mirbad, and there were skins on the Mirbad containing wine. Ibn Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a knife - he said: I did not know what a knife was until that day - so he ordered that the skins be slit, and they were slit. Then he said: "Wine is cursed, and its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its carrier, the one it is carried to, its presser, the one for whom it is pressed, and the one who eats its price." Waki' told us, Abd al-Aziz ibn Umar - meaning Ibn Abd al-Aziz - told us, from Abu Tu'mah, their freedman, and from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abd Allah al-Ghafiqi, that both of them heard Ibn Umar say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wine has been cursed on ten counts" - and he mentioned the hadith.
