English Translation
Hushaym told us: Yunus informed us, from Ziyad ibn Jubayr, who said: I saw a man come to Ibn Umar and ask him: he had vowed to fast every Wednesday, and that fell on the day of Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Allah has commanded fulfilling the vow, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden us from fasting on the day of sacrifice."
