English Translation

Husayn ibn Muhammad told us: Sufyan told us, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Abida al-Salmani, from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The last of the people of Paradise to enter it, and the last of the people of the Fire to leave it, is a man who comes out of the Fire crawling. Allah, Mighty and Sublime, says to him, 'Go and enter Paradise.' He goes to it, but it appears to him as if it is full, so he returns and says, 'O Lord, I found it full.' He says, 'Go and enter Paradise.' He goes to it, but it appears to him as if it is full, so he returns and says, 'O Lord, I found it full.' He says, 'Go and enter Paradise.' He goes to it, but it appears to him as if it is full, so he returns to Him and says, 'O Lord, I found it full' — three times. Then He says, 'Go, for you have the like of the world and ten times as much,' or 'ten times the like of the world.'" He said: he says, "Lord, do You mock me, while You are the King?" He said: And it used to be said, "This is the lowest in rank of the people of Paradise."
