حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِي مَاجِدٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ السَّيْرِ بِالْجِنَازَةِ فَقَالَ مَا دُونَ الْخَبَبِ الْجِنَازَةُ مَتْبُوعَةٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِتَابِعٍ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'On the Day of Resurrection I will be at the Hawd (Pool). Men will be kept away from me, and I will say: O Lord, my companions! And it will be said: You do not know what they innovated after you.'
