حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ كُنَّا نُسَلِّمُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى رَجَعْنَا مِنْ عِنْدِ النَّجَاشِيِّ فَسَلَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْنَا وَقَالَ إِنَّ فِي الصَّلَاةِ شُغْلًا.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, who said: Abdullah said: "We used to give the greeting of peace to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during the prayer, until we returned from the Negus, and we greeted him, but he did not return our greeting, and he said: 'Indeed there is occupation with worship in prayer.'"
