English Translation
Ahmad ibn Abd al-Malik narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Simak, from Abdullah ibn Umayrah, from the husband of Durrah bint Abi Lahab, from Durrah bint Abi Lahab, who said: A man stood up before the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was on the pulpit and said: "O Messenger of Allah, which people are the best?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The best of people are those who recite the Quran the most, are the most God-fearing, enjoin good the most, forbid evil the most, and maintain ties of kinship the most."
