حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ خَالَتِهِ أُمِّ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الطُّفَيْلِ ابْنِ أَخِي جُوَيْرِيَةَ عَنْ جُوَيْرِيَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ حَرِيرٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ أَوْ ثَوْبًا مِنْ نَارٍ.
English Translation
Aswad, meaning Ibn Amir, narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Jabir, from his maternal aunt Umm Uthman, from al-Tufayl, the nephew of Juwayriyah, from Juwayriyah, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "Whoever wears a garment of silk in this world, Allah the Exalted will clothe him in a garment of humiliation, or a garment of Fire."
