حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ مُبَشِّرٍ أَنَّها سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ حَفْصَةَ يَقُولُ لَا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الشَّجَرَةِ أَحَدٌ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا تَحْتَهَا فَقَالَتْ بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَانْتَهَرَهَا فَقَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ { وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا } فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا وَنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّا }.
English Translation
Hajjaj told us, he said Ibn Jurayj informed me, he said Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir say: Umm Mubashshir told me that she heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say, while at Hafsah's, "None of the People of the Tree - those who gave the pledge of allegiance beneath it - shall enter the Fire, if Allah wills." She said, "Yes indeed, O Messenger of Allah!" - so he rebuked her sharply. Then Hafsah said, {And there is none of you but will come to it}. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has said, {Then We will save those who feared Allah and leave the wrongdoers in it, on their knees}."
