حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَيْسَ الْكَذَّابُ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا.
English Translation
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim told us, he said: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his mother Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah, she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The liar is not one who reconciles between people, so he speaks good or furthers good."
