English Translation
Affan told us, he said: Shu'bah told us, he said: Yahya ibn al-Husayn told us: he informed me that he heard his grandmother say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering a sermon at Arafat, saying: "Even if a slave were made to govern over you, leading you by the Book of Allah, then listen to him and obey." Abdullah said: And I heard my father say: "I hold the view that listening and obedience are due to him in hardship and ease, in willingness and reluctance."
