حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُعَدِّلِ عَطِيَّةَ الطُّفَاوِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي إِذْ قَالَتْ الْخَادِمُ إِنَّ عَلِيًّا وَفَاطِمَةَ بِالسُّدَّةِ قَالَ قُومِي عَنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي قَالَتْ فَقُمْتُ فَتَنَحَّيْتُ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْبَيْتِ قَرِيبًا فَدَخَلَ عَلِيٌّ وَفَاطِمَةُ وَمَعَهُمْ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ صَبِيَّانِ صَغِيرَانِ فَأَخَذَ الصَّبِيَّيْنِ فَقَبَّلَهُمَا وَوَضَعَهُمَا فِي حِجْرِهِ وَاعْتَنَقَ عَلِيًّا وَفَاطِمَةَ ثُمَّ أَغْدَفَ عَلَيْهِمَا بِبُرْدَةٍ لَهُ وَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ لَا إِلَى النَّارِ أَنَا وَأَهْلُ بَيْتِي قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَأَنَا فَقَالَ وَأَنْتِ.
English Translation
Narrated to us by Abd al-Wahhab ibn Ata', who said: 'Awf narrated to us, from Abu al-Mu'addil 'Atiyyah al-Tufawi, who said: My father narrated to me, from Umm Salamah, wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: "While the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in my house, the servant said, 'Ali and Fatimah are at the door.' He said, 'Get up and leave this space to the people of my household.'" She said: "So I got up and withdrew to a nearby corner of the house. Ali and Fatimah came in, and with them al-Hasan and al-Husayn, two small young boys. He took the two boys and kissed them and placed them in his lap, and he embraced Ali and Fatimah, then he draped a cloak of his over them and said: 'O Allah, to You - not to the Fire - myself and the people of my household.'" She said: "So I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, and I too?'" He said: "And you."
