حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ عَنْ سَوَاءٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ عَنِ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَصُومُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ وَالِاثْنَيْنِ مِنْ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى.
English Translation
Rawh told us, Hammad told us, from 'Asim b. Bahdalah, from Sawa' al-Khuza'i, from Hafsah, wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast three days of every month: Monday, Thursday, and the Monday of the following week.
