حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَامِرٌ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ الْخِيَرَةِ فَقَالَتْ خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفَكَانَ طَلَاقًا.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from Isma'il, he said: Amir informed me, from Masruq, he said: I asked Aisha about the choice, and she said, "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, gave us the choice - was that a divorce?"
