English Translation
Yazid told us, he said: Muhammad - meaning ibn Amr - informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Aisha, she said: "A month would indeed pass over the family of Muhammad in which no fire was seen in any of his houses." I said, "O Mother, what then was their food?" She said, "The two dark things: dates and water - except that he had good, sincere neighbors among the Ansar who had milk-yielding animals, and they used to send him some of their milk."
