English Translation
Hisham reported from his father that Aisha said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, all your wives have a teknonym except me." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her, "Take the teknonym Umm Abdullah." So she was called Umm Abdullah until she died, though she never bore a child.
