حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ جُنُبًا فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَأْكُلَ تَوَضَّأَ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: Shu'ba told us, from al-Hakam, who said: I heard Ibrahim narrate from al-Aswad, from Aisha, that she said: 'Whenever the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in a state of major ritual impurity and wanted to sleep or eat, he would perform ablution.'
