English Translation
Muhammad bin Idris told us, saying Abd al-Aziz told us, from Yazid, from Muhammad bin Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah bin Abd al-Rahman, who said: I asked Aisha: How much was the dowry of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him? She said: His dowry to his wives was twelve uqiyyahs and a nashsh. She said: Do you know what a nashsh is? I said: No. She said: Half an uqiyyah. That is five hundred dirhams. This is the dowry of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for his wives.
