Abu al-Yaman told us: Shu'ayb informed us, from al-Zuhri, who said: Urwah ibn al-Zubayr informed me that A'isha, wife of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no affliction that befalls a Muslim except that Allah, Mighty and Sublime, expiates by it his sins, even a thorn that pricks him."
