قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا بَصْرَةَ الْغِفَارِيَّ قَالَ مِنْ أَيْنَ أَقْبَلْتَ فَقُلْتُ مِنْ الطُّورِ فَقَالَ أَمَا لَوْ أَدْرَكْتُكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ إِلَيْهِ مَا خَرَجْتَ إِلَيْهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا تُعْمَلُ الْمَطِيُّ إِلَّا إِلَى ثَلَاثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَإِلَى مَسْجِدِي وَإِلَى مَسْجِدِ إِيلِيَاءَ أَوْ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ يَشُكُّ.
English Translation
He said: I read to Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al-Had, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith al-Taymi, from Abu Salama ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayra, and he mentioned the hadith. Abu Hurayra said: "I met Abu Basra al-Ghifari, who said, 'From where have you come?' I said, 'From al-Tur.' He said, 'Had I met you before you set out to it, you would not have gone out to it. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Mounts should not be journeyed upon except to three mosques: the Sacred Mosque, my mosque, and the mosque of Iliya' - or Bayt al-Maqdis - he was uncertain [of the wording].'"
