English Translation
It was narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ubayd, who narrated to us: Salim al-Muradi, from Amr ibn Harim al-Azdi, from Abu Abdullah and Rib'i ibn Hirash, from Hudhayfah, who said: While we were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: "I do not know how long I will remain among you, so follow the example of these two after me" — indicating Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both — "and take guidance from the guidance of Ammar, and hold to the covenant of Ibn Umm Abd, may Allah be pleased with them both."
