English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Sa'd ibn Ibrahim, who said: I heard a man - Sa'd said he was called the freed slave of Abu Qatadah, though he was not actually a freed slave - narrating from Abu Qatadah, that he caught a wild donkey. They asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about it while he was in ihram. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Is there any of it remaining with you?" Shu'bah said: Then I asked him later, and he said: "Is there any of it remaining with you?" He said: Then he ate it - or he said: 'Eat it.' I said to Shu'bah: 'Meaning it is permissible?' He said: 'Yes.'
