حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ رَفَعَهُ وَقَالَ شَاذَانُ مَرَّةً عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمُسْتَشَارُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ وَذَكَرَ شَاذَانُ أَيْضًا حَدِيثَ الدَّالِّ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ كَفَاعِلِهِ.
English Translation
Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us: Sharik narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Amr al-Shaybani, from Abu Mas'ud, raising it — and Shadhan said once, "from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)" — he said, "The one consulted is entrusted (with sincerity)." Shadhan also mentioned the hadith, "the one who directs to good is like the one who does it."
