English Translation
Affan told us, Hammad ibn Zayd told us, Sinan Abu Rabi'ah, the companion of al-Sabiri, told us, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Umamah, who said: He described the ablution of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he mentioned washing three times each -- and I do not know how he mentioned the rinsing of the mouth and nose -- and he said: "The ears are part of the head." He said: And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to wipe the inner corners of the eyes, and he said with his two fingers -- and Hammad showed us -- and he wiped his eye-corners.
