حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شِمْرٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ خَرَجَتْ ذُنُوبُهُ مِنْ سَمْعِهِ وَبَصَرِهِ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ فَإِنْ قَعَدَ قَعَدَ مَغْفُورًا لَهُ.
English Translation
Wakee' told us, al-A'mash told us, from Shimr, from Shahr ibn Hawshab, from Abu Umamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the Muslim man performs ablution, his sins go out from his hearing, his sight, his hands, and his feet; and if he then sits, he sits forgiven."
