English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, Shu'bah told us, Sa'id told us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from a man, from Abdullah ibn Hanzalah ibn al-Rahib: that a man greeted the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he had just urinated, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not return his greeting until he gestured with his hand toward the wall — meaning that he performed tayammum (dry ablution).
