حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَيْحَانَةَ عَنْ سَفِينَةَ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ وَيَتَطَهَّرُ بِالْمُدِّ.
English Translation
Isma'il b. Ibrahim told us, Abu Rayhanah told us, from Safinah, a Companion of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to perform the major ritual washing with a sa' and purify himself with a mudd."
