حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيْنَ تَنْزِلُ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ وَذَلِكَ زَمَنَ الْفَتْحِ فَقَالَ هَلْ تَرَكَ لَنَا عَقِيلٌ مِنْ مَنْزِلٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا يَرِثُ الْكَافِرُ الْمُؤْمِنَ وَلَا الْمُؤْمِنُ الْكَافِرَ.
English Translation
Rawh told us, Muhammad ibn Abi Hafsah told us, al-Zuhri told us, from Ali ibn Husayn, from Amr ibn Uthman, from Usamah ibn Zayd, that he said: O Messenger of Allah, where will you stay tomorrow, if Allah wills? - this was at the time of the conquest of Makkah - He said: Has Aqil left us any house? Then he said: The disbeliever does not inherit from the believer, nor does the believer inherit from the disbeliever.
