English Translation
Sufyan told us, from Amr, from Amir ibn Sa'd, who said: A man came asking Sa'd about the plague, so Usamah ibn Zayd said: I will tell you about it. I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: This is a punishment - or something like that - which Allah sent upon a people before you, or a group of the Children of Israel. It comes at times and goes at times. If it falls in a land, do not enter upon it, and if it falls in a land while you are there, do not leave it fleeing from it.
