English Translation
Abu Mu'awiyah told us, al-A'mash told us, from al-Ma'rur ibn Suwayd, from Abu Dharr, who said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah. When he saw me approaching, he said: "They are the greatest losers, by the Lord of the Ka'bah!" I said: "What is wrong with me? Perhaps something has been revealed concerning me. Who are they, may my father and mother be ransomed for you?" He said: "Those with the most wealth, except one who says thus and thus" — and he scattered his hands in front of him, and to his right, and to his left. Then he said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, none of you dies leaving behind camels, cattle, or sheep for which he did not pay their due charity, except that they will come to him on the Day of Resurrection at their largest and fattest, trampling him with their hooves and goring him with their horns; every time the last of them has passed, the first of them is brought back to him, until judgment is passed among the people."
