حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أُبَيٌّ إِنَّهَا لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَإِنَّهَا لَهِيَ هِيَ مَا يُسْتَثْنَى بِالْآيَةِ الَّتِي حَدَّثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَسَبْنَا وَعَدَدْنَا فَإِنَّهَا لَهِيَ هِيَ مَا يُسْتَثْنَى.
English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us: Sufyan ibn Sa'id informed us, from Asim, from Zirr, who said: Ubayy said to me: "It is the night of the twenty-seventh, and it is indeed that very night, without exception, by the sign that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, told us of, so we calculated and we counted, and it is indeed that very night, without exception."
