حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا سِمَاكٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ وَقِيلَ لَهُ أَكَانَ فِي رَأْسِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْبٌ قَالَ لَمْ يَكُنْ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلَا فِي لِحْيَتِهِ إِلَّا شَعَرَاتٌ فِي مَفْرِقِ رَأْسِهِ إِذَا دَهَنَهُنَّ وَارَاهُنَّ الدُّهْنُ.
English Translation
Abu Kamil narrated to us: Hammad narrated to us: Simak informed us, who said: I heard Jabir ibn Samurah - and he was asked, "Was there grey hair on the head of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?" - say: "There was none on his head or in his beard except a few hairs in the parting of his head, which the oil would cover when he applied it."
