حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ مَطِيرَةٍ فَلَمَّا رَجَعْتُ اسْتَفْتَحْتُ فَقَالَ أَبِي مَنْ هَذَا قَالُوا أَبُو الْمَلِيحِ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَصَابَتْنَا سَمَاءٌ لَمْ تَبُلَّ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ.
English Translation
Abu al-Malih ibn Usamah said: I went out to the mosque on a rainy night, and when I returned and knocked on the door, my father said: 'Who is this?' They said: 'Abu al-Malih.' He said: 'I recall when we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) during the time of al-Hudaybiyyah. Rain fell on us that did not wet the bottoms of our sandals, and the caller of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) announced: Pray in your dwellings.'
