حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ وَمُطِرْنَا ثُمَّ جِئْتُ أَسْتَفْتِحُ قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي أَبُو أُسَامَةَ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَمَنَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ مُطِرْنَا فَلَمْ تَبُلَّ السَّمَاءُ أَسَافِلَ نِعَالِنَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ.
English Translation
Abu al-Malih said: I prayed the late night prayer (Isha) in Basrah while it was raining. Then I came to open the door. Abu Usamah said to me: 'I recall when we were with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) during the time of al-Hudaybiyyah. It rained, but the rain did not even wet the bottoms of our sandals, yet the caller of the Prophet (peace be upon him) announced: Pray in your dwellings.'
