English Translation
Makki ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Bahz ibn Hakim informed us, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: When something was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he would ask about it, "Is it a gift or a charity?" If they said, "A gift," he would extend his hand; and if they said, "A charity," he would say to his companions, "Take it."
